Local service

Proudly serving Leander

Leander has grown fast, and the housing stock shows it—newer subdivisions on slab foundations, a mix of two-story family homes and patio homes, and a lot of clay soil that shifts with the weather. That ground movement puts stress on pipes, and the summer heat takes a toll on water heaters working overtime. We handle the full range of plumbing work here, from emergency leak repairs to planned water heater replacements and bathroom remodels, and we know the common failure points in these homes.

Our crew drives out from Georgetown with a stocked truck, so most repairs get handled on the spot. We lay down floor protection, work clean, and explain what we find before we start. Because Leander is only a short drive from our base, we can get to you quickly for emergencies, and for bigger projects we schedule around your day. We treat your home like our own—leaving the work area tidy and making sure you know how to maintain what we've installed.

Lee Whiteaker Plumbing works across Georgetown, TX and the surrounding area, so a crew is never far from Leander. Call (512) 869-4828 or request a free estimate and we’ll come out and take a look.

What Leander homeowners call us for

Water Heater Replacements

With hard water and high usage in growing families, water heaters in Leander often fail early. We swap out electric and gas units, including tankless upgrades, and make sure the new system fits your home's needs.

Slab Leak Repair

Clay soils under Leander's newer slabs shift with moisture, stressing copper and PEX lines. We locate the leak, access the slab, and repair or repipe as needed, restoring your foundation's integrity.

Bathroom Remodel Plumbing

From updating a master bath to adding a half bath, we handle the plumbing side of remodels—moving supply and drain lines, installing new fixtures, and tying into existing systems without surprises.

Drain Cleaning

Tree roots and hard water buildup clog drains in older Leander neighborhoods. We use augers and hydro-jetting to clear blockages and leave your lines flowing freely, with tips to prevent future issues.

Typical projects

The kind of work we take on in Leander

Water Heater Replacements

We drain the old unit, disconnect gas or electric lines, and haul it out. We install the new water heater, connect supply and vent lines, and test for leaks. We also walk you through the new unit's settings.

Bathroom Remodel Plumbing

We rough in new supply and drain lines for showers, tubs, and vanities, then set fixtures and make final connections. We work with your contractor to keep the project on schedule and within the existing plumbing layout.

Emergency Leak Repair

We arrive with a full leak detection kit, find the source of the water, and stop the flow. We then make permanent repairs, whether it's a pipe joint, a valve, or a section of line, and clean up the mess.

Where we work

Across Leander

Downtown Leander

Older homes near the historic core have galvanized or cast-iron pipes that corrode over time. We handle repipes and drain replacements in these tighter lots, working carefully around mature landscaping and limited access.

The Ranches

Newer developments on large lots often have long supply lines and septic systems. We work on water heater replacements, leak repairs, and bathroom remodels in these homes, coordinating with well and septic contractors when needed.

Along 183A

The corridor's rapid growth means new construction and remodel projects. We provide plumbing for additions and upgrades in these modern homes, ensuring code compliance and efficient layouts.

Before work starts

Permits & local rules in Leander

Water Heater Permits

Most water heater replacements in Leander require a permit from the City of Leander Building Department. We handle the paperwork for you, but you should confirm that any contractor you hire pulls the necessary permits before work begins.

Remodel Permits

Bathroom remodels that move plumbing lines typically need a permit from the city. Your contractor should verify the scope with the building department, and you should ask to see the permit before any rough-in work starts.

What Georgetown homeowners say

I can't believe I hadn't reviewed these guys yet after all of the good work they've done for us in the last two years. I really enjoy working with RC. He's been to our house multiple times, both for bathroom remodel projects that included tub/toilet replacements, and water heater replacement. I've worked with lots of contractors, and they are one of the few that I've worked with that I trust, and consistently offer the best combination of service and pricing. No high pressure upsell's or doom and gloom stories about your plumbing; just honest dialogue about the best options for your specific situation.

We highly recommend Mason with Whiteaker Plumbing. He responded very quickly and arrived right on time. He assessed our leak issue and explained the problem as well as showed us what needed to be repaired. He gave us a repair cost which was very fair and reasonable and then he got to work. He was extremely professional and personable. He did a great job and cleaned up everything when he was done.

We had a break in the water service line at our home in Georgetown. A neighbor recommended Whiteaker Plumbing based on the great experience he had with them on several indoor and outdoor projects/repairs. Fortunately for us, Mason from Whiteaker was able to come and make the repair that same day. Mason was professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous in making the repairs. He was also friendly and happy to explain what he was doing and how it would be an improvement versus how the original service line (and attached irrigation line) had been run.

RC came out the day of my pipe breaking. He repaired it quickly and did an outstanding job. Thank you RC for your professionalism and expertise. This is the second time I have used Whiteaker Plumbing in 3 years and RC did both jobs with a 5 star service. I will be calling again the next time I needs plumbing work.

I would definitely recommend Whiteaker Plumbing. Mason the plumber was very personable & explained how things worked as he went along. He took special care to make sure everything was fine until the next day when the final hookup would be made. He cleaned up after the job & went out of his way to get the part we were missing for one of the jobs.
