Pipe Repair and Repiping

A pipe problem usually shows up as a wet spot on the wall, a drop in water pressure, or a sudden spike in your water bill. You might hear water running when nothing is on. At that point, you need someone to find the leak and stop the damage before it ruins floors, cabinets, or the foundation.

We start by shutting off the water to the affected area. Then we locate the leak by looking for wet spots, listening for drips, or cutting a small access hole. For repairs, we cut out the damaged section, clean the pipe ends, and join new copper, PEX, or PVC with the proper fittings. We pressure-test the line before closing anything up.

The biggest cost factors are the length of pipe that needs replacing, the material you choose, and how hard it is to reach the pipes. Pipes inside a finished wall take more time than ones in an open crawlspace. Corroded or galvanized lines often break when handled, which can turn a small repair into a larger repipe job.

On the day of the work, we lay down drop cloths and protect your floors and furniture. We cut openings carefully and keep dust down. After the repair, we test the system, patch any access holes we made, and clean up all debris. You don't need to move furniture or clear cabinets, but please keep pets and kids away from the work area.
