Water Heater Replacement

A water heater that rumbles, leaks, or runs out of hot water mid-shower is telling you it is failing. You are facing cold showers, potential flooding, and higher energy bills. Calling for a replacement means getting back to reliable hot water without the worry of a sudden failure damaging your home.

We start by shutting off the water and power or gas, then draining the old unit. We disconnect the supply lines, venting, and electrical or gas connections. The old tank is removed and hauled away. We install the new unit on a level pad, connect copper or flex lines, install a temperature and pressure relief valve, and seal all gas or electrical connections. We then fill the tank, purge air, and test for leaks.

Every replacement is different. The main factors are the type of unit you choose—tank versus tankless—and the fuel source. Access matters: a unit in a tight attic or a cramped closet takes longer than one in an open basement. The condition of existing pipes, valves, and venting can add work if they need updating. Local climate also affects venting requirements for gas units.
